   505 ILCS 82/15                                                              

        Amends the Food and Agriculture Research Act to provide  that  to      
   offset  the  costs  of C-FAR membership, the Department of Agriculture      
   may retain 0.03% of the total appropriation for the purposes  of  this      
   Act.  Provides that members shall serve without compensation but shall      
   be reimbursed for ordinary and necessary expenses.                          
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Provides that to offset the cost of  members  of  C-FAR  incurred      
   while  performing  their  duties  as  official  group  representatives      
   (instead of while performing their duties as members), up to 1% of the      
   funds  appropriated  for  the  purposes  of  the  Food and Agriculture      
   Research Act may be allocated by  the  Department  of  Agriculture  to      
   cover these expenses (instead of the Department retaining 0.03% of the      
   total  appropriation  for the purposes of the Act to offset the cost).      
   Provides that members shall be reimbursed for ordinary  and  necessary      
   expenses  incurred  in the performance of their duties (instead of the      
   Department reimbursing the members  for  any  ordinary  and  necessary      
   expenses incurred in the performance of their duties as members).

          Any administrative costs will be covered by amounts authorized       
          to be retained from the Dpt. appopriation for administration.
