Provides that the payment for a funeral shall be increased from $650 to $670 on January 1, 1998 and to $690 on July 1, 1998, and that the payment for a cemetery burial shall increase from $325 to $335 on January 1, 1998 and to $345 on July 1, 1998. Provides that the Department of Public Aid shall periodically increase the payment rate for skilled nursing and intermediate care services as well as for hospital services on the basis of appropriations approved from time to time by the General Assembly for those purposes.
