        Amends  the  Unified  Code  of  Corrections.   Provides  that   a      
   defendant  convicted  of  a felony committed on or after the effective      
   date of this amendatory Act of 1998 shall be ineligible for a sentence      
   of probation, periodic imprisonment, or conditional discharge.
