HOWARD. 20 ILCS 505/5c Amends the Children and Family Services Act. In a provision requiring certain Department of Children and Family Services employees and contractors to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and skills by January 1, 2001 to obtain and maintain a direct child welfare service employee license, provides that a person who is employed by the Department on the effective date of this amendatory Act of 1998 is deemed to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and skills to be granted a direct child welfare service employee license and shall be granted the license if he or she has completed his or her probationary period and is a certified employee of the department. The license may be revoked or suspended if the employee is found guilty of misfeasance after a hearing.
