Provides that a scholarship recipient who fails to fulfill his or her designated-shortage-area practice requirement shall pay interest at 9% per annum on the unpaid balance of the principal amount required to be paid by the recipient as a result of that failure. FISCAL NOTE (Dpt. Public Health) SB331 could result in additional deposits into the Community Health Center Care Fund. FISCAL NOTE, H-AM 1 (Dept. of Public Health) This legislation could result in additional monies to be de- posited into the Community Health Center Care Fund. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Replaces the provisions of the engrossed bill with provisions stating that a scholarship recipient who fails to fulfill his designated-shortage-area practice requirement has 30 days from the date on which the failure begins to enter into a repayment contract with the Department.
