        Amends the Regulatory Agency Sunset Act to extend the sunset date      
   of the Podiatric Medical Practice Act of  1987  to  January  1,  2008.      
   Amends   the   Podiatric  Medical  Practice  Act  of  1987.    Deletes      
   requirement  that  applicants  complete  parts  of   the   examination      
   administered  by  the  National  Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners.      
   Allows the Department to impose a fine  not  to  exceed  $5,000  (now,      
   $2,500)  upon  a  licensee  for  a  violation  enumerated  in the Act.      
   Provides that the Department must commence a disciplinary  action  for      
   specified  violations  of  the  Act  within 3 years of notification or      
   complaint of the violation. Allows the Department or Podiatric Medical      
   Licensing Board to compel a licensee  or  applicant  to  submit  to  a      
   mental  or physical examination upon a showing of a possible violation      
   of the  Act.  Makes  technical  and  additional  substantive  changes.      
   Reorganizes  certain  provisions  within  the  Act.  Deletes  obsolete      
   language. Effective December 30, 1997.
