RADOGNO. 720 ILCS 5/24-2 from Ch. 38, par. 24-2 720 ILCS 5/31A-1.2 from Ch. 38, par. 31A-1.2 Amends provisions of the Criminal Code of 1961 exempting wardens, superintendents, and keepers of prisons, penitentiaries, jails, and other institutions for the detention of persons accused or convicted of an offense from certain provisions prohibiting the carrying of certain weapons. Includes in the exemption lieutenants, correctional officers, captains, and sergeants of the Department of Corrections. Deletes provision restricting the exemption to the carrying and possessing of those weapons in the performance of the persons' official duties or while commuting between their homes and places of employment.
