DEL VALLE. New Act Creates the Day Labor Services Act. Provides that day labor service agencies shall post a list of all employers that are seeking day laborers and provide a detailed description of the work. Contains requirements concerning notices, meals, transportation, safety equipment, clothing, accessories, payment of wages, and other matters. Provides that day labor service agencies shall register with the Department of Labor and pay a registration fee. Provides for adoption of rules by the Department and for penalties for violations of the Act or rules.
