Short description: HOUSING-PLACE IN SCHOOL DIST Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Children and Family Services Act, the School Code, and the Housing Authorities Act. Requires DCFS to place school-aged children, 15 years of age or younger, with a family in the same school district unless the benefits of continuity are outweighed by some potential harm to the child. Allows schools to report families that show a pattern of frequent, random moves without a reasonable explanation. Requires a housing authority, if possible, to place families with school-aged children, 15 years of age or younger, within the same school district if the authority must relocate the family due to renovation or closure of a complex.
