PEN CD-IMRF SLEP-WIDOW REMARRY                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)  Article  of      
   the  Pension  Code  to  allow  the surviving spouse of a sheriff's law      
   enforcement  employee  to  remarry  before  age  55  without  loss  of      
   survivor's  benefits.   Amends  the  State  Mandates  Act  to  require      
   implementation without reimbursement.  Effective immediately.               
          PENSION IMPACT NOTE                                                  
          The fiscal impact of HB 943 cannot be determined, but is es-         
          timated to be minor.
