JUV CT-JUVENILE COURT RECORDS

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 relating to the
confidentiality of juvenile court records and law enforcement records
pertaining to juveniles. Permits a civil service commission or
appointing authority to obtain these records in order to evaluate the
character and fitness of an applicant for employment with a law
   enforcement agency or correctional institution.
          CORRECTIONAL NOTE
There will be no fiscal impact on this bill.
          FISCAL NOTE (Dpt. of Corrections)
          No change from correctional note.
          JUDICIAL NOTE
It has been determined that the bill would neither decrease nor
increase the need for the number of judges in the State.
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE
In the opinion of DCCA, HB977 fails to create a State mandate.
