VEH CD-ELUDE POLICE-PENALTY                                                

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code.   Increase  the  penalties  for      
   fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and aggravated fleeing      
   or attempting to elude a police officer.                                    
          CORRECTIONAL NOTE                                                    
          There will be a fiscal impact of $2,169,000.                         
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE                                           
          In the opinion of DCCA, HB1015 fails to create a State mandate       
          under the State Mandates Act.                                        
          FISCAL NOTE (Dept. of Corrections)                                   
          HB 1015 would increase the prison population by 11 inmates at        
          a cost of $2,169,900 over the first ten years after enactment.
