Short description: 
VEH CD-TANDEM AXLE-WEIGHT                                                  

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code.  Provides that no vehicle shall      
   be operated on the highways with a tandem axle  weight  in  excess  of      
   40,000  (instead  of 34,000) pounds.  Provides that 2 consecutive sets      
   of tandem axles may carry a gross load of 40,000 (instead  of  34,000)      
   pounds  each,  provided that the gross weight for vehicle combinations      
   of 5 axles or more does not exceed 80,000 pounds.
