Provides an additional exemption of $1,000 for individual taxpayers if the taxpayer was pregnant during the taxable year. Provides that the pregnancy must be in utero and certified by a licensed physician. Applies to taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 1997. Sunsets the exemption after 5 years.
