House Sponsors: BROSNAHAN. Short description: ELECTRONIC FINGERPRINTING-TECH Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Creates the Electronic Fingerprinting Act (short title only). HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: New Act Adds reference to: 730 ILCS 5/3-14-1.5 Deletes the title and everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that a person released from the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections who will reside in a county over 3,000,000 shall present himself or herself to the Sheriffs Office for processing by the Sheriff's Criminal Apprehension and Booking System (CABS) within 5 days or within 120 hours of release. Effective June 1, 1998. FISCAL NOTE, AMENDED (Dept. of Corrections) There will be a minimal fiscal impact on this Dept. CORRECTIONAL NOTE, AMENDED No change from DOC fiscal note.
