Short description: 
JUV CT-YOUTH PEER JURIES                                                   

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987.  Permits a juvenile police      
   officer to appoint a youth peer jury to  assign  public  or  community      
   service  to  a minor who committed an act constituting an offense that      
   is not a crime of violence.                                                 
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE                                           
          In the opinion of DCCA, HB 2146 fails to create a State mandate      
          under the State Mandates Act.                                        
          FISCAL NOTE (Office of Ill. Courts)                                  
          It cannot be determine what fiscal impact the bill will have on      
          the Judicial Branch.                                                 
          JUDICIAL NOTE                                                        
          It has been determined that the bill would neither decrease or       
          increase the need for the number of judges in the state.
