Short description: 
FIRST AID-GOOD SAMARITAN                                                   

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Systems Act; provides      
   immunity from civil  liability  for  one  who  teaches  first  aid  or      
   sponsors  a first aid course.  Amends the Good Samaritan Act; provides      
   immunity from civil liability for one who  provides  first  aid  to  a      
   victim  of  an  accident,  emergency,  or natural disaster.  Effective      
   immediately.                                                                
          FISCAL NOTE (Dept. of Public Health)                                 
          There would be no fiscal implications to this Dept.                  
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE                                           
          In the opinion of DCCA, HB 2182 fails to create a State mandate      
          under the State Mandates Act.
