Short description: COMMISSION ON STATUS OF WOMEN Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Creates the Commission on the Status of Women and defines its powers and duties. Provides that the Commission shall study the status of women in the State and make annual recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly for constructive legislation. Amends the Personnel Code to exempt from its provisions employees of the Commission. Effective immediately. FISCAL NOTE (Bureau of the Budget) Cost of a 16-member commission with permanent employees and an office may range between $250,000 and $1,000,000.
