House Sponsors: LAWFER. Short description: ENT ZONE-MILITARY BASE Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Enterprise Zone Act. Provides that if (i) the county board of any county in which a current military base is located, in part or in whole, or in which a military base that has been closed within the last 20 years is located, in part or in whole, adopts a designating ordinance to designate the military base as an enterprise zone and (ii) the property otherwise qualifies as an enterprise zone, then the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs may certify the designating ordinance or ordinances, as the case may be. Effective immediately.
