CHILD PROTECTION LICENSE PLATE

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code and the State Finance Act.
Authorizes special license plates designated as Child Protection
plates. Provides for increased fees for these plates to be paid as
grants to hospitals providing pediatric care, subject to appropriation
by the General Assembly and approval by the Secretary of State.
Creates the Child Protection Fund Advisory Panel to make
recommendations on the approval of grant applications to the Secretary
   of State.
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.
Changes the original issuance and renewal fees for the Child
   Protection license plates.
          FISCAL NOTE (Secretary of State)
SB355 would result in a fiscal impact to the Sec. of State
office of $45,000, these costs to be offset by fees.
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE (DCCA)
SB 355 fails to create a State mandate.
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.
