Senate Sponsors: KARPIEL. House Sponsors: LINDNER Short description: DCFS-DISCLOSURE OF REPORTS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act. Provides that the Department of Children and Family Services may disclose information regarding the abuse and neglect of children, the investigation thereof, and any services related thereto if the disclosure is not contrary to the best interests of the child, the child's siblings, or other children in the household and other conditions are met. Prescribes information to be disclosed. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Provides that the information may be disclosed by a person designated in writing by the Director of Children and Family Services for that purpose, rather than the Director's designee. Provides that any disclosure of information shall not identify the healthcare pro- vider facility or other maker or source of any psychological, psychia- tric, therapeutic, clinical, or medical reports, evaluations, or like materials.
