House Sponsors: BLACK-WAIT Short description: VEH CD-COMM DRIVERS LICENSE Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to provide that if a person whose disqualification from driving a commercial vehicle for life was reduced is subsequently convicted of another disqualifying offense, he or she is permanently disqualified for life. Effective January 1, 1998. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Adds reference to: 625 ILCS 5/3-104 from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 3-104 Further amends the Vehicle Code to provide that if the application for a certificate of title refers to a vehicle sold at public auction under the Labor and Storage Lien (Small Amount) Act, it must be accompanied by an affidavit or affirmation (instead of only an affidavit) furnished by the Secretary of State.
