Provides, for purposes of calculating the amount of grants to alternative schools under the school aid formula applicable beginning with the 1998-99 school year, that in cities of over 500,000, an alternative school means a public school that is operated independently from the Chicago Public Schools and that is approved by the Chicago School Reform Board of Trustees. Effective July 1, 1998.
