PRO TX-ABATE-SR CIT-PTELL-TIF                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends  the  Property  Tax  Code  and  the   Property   Extension      
   Limitation  Law  in the Property Tax Code to accelerate the provisions      
   of Public Act 90-568 concerning the abatement for  older  persons  and      
   the  recovered  tax  increment  value. Provides that the abatement for      
   older persons first applies to the 1998 extensions  for  1997  levies.      
   Amends  the  State  Mandates  Act  to  require  implementation without      
   reimbursement.  Effective immediately.
