91_HB0321enr HB0321 Enrolled LRB9100978MWgc 1 AN ACT to amend the Metropolitan Water Reclamation 2 District Act by adding Sections 65.1 and 65.2. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District 6 Act is amended by adding Sections 65.1 and 65.2 as follows: 7 (70 ILCS 2605/65.1 new) 8 Sec. 65.1. Lagoons; Cook County. No reservoir, low 9 solids lagoon, or high solids lagoon shall be located in the 10 area southwest of the present high and low solids lagoons 11 described as follows: 12 Said southwest area lies in Cook County between the Des 13 Plaines River on the north and the Sanitary and Ship 14 Canal on the south, and is bordered on the northeast by a 15 line which is parallel to and 2,000 feet to the northeast 16 of the centerline of LaGrange Road at the approximate 17 midpoint between the Des Plaines River and the Sanitary 18 and Ship Canal and is measured parallel to the Sanitary 19 and Ship Canal. The area from this line to the most 20 southwestern edge of the most southwesterly drying bed 21 cannot be converted to any other treatment process or 22 storage area for any product of the Metropolitan Water 23 Reclamation District. Said southwestern edge lies 24 between the Des Plaines River on the north and the 25 Sanitary and Ship Canal on the south, and is located 26 parallel to and 5,500 feet to the southwest of the 27 centerline of LaGrange Road at the approximate midpoint 28 between the Des Plaines River and the Sanitary and Ship 29 Canal and is measured parallel to the Sanitary and Ship 30 Canal. No 3 treatment process storage area for any product of the 4 Metropolitan Water Reclamation District or rail 5 transportation system shall be located in the tank farm area 6 or southwest of the most westerly drying bed described as 7 follows: 8 Said southwestern edge lies in Cook County between the 9 Des Plaines River on the north and the Sanitary and Ship 10 Canal on the south, and is located parallel to LaGrange 11 Road and 5,500 feet to the southwest of the centerline of 12 LaGrange Road at the approximate midpoint between the Des 13 Plaines River and the Sanitary and Ship Canal and is 14 measured parallel to the Sanitary and Ship Canal.
