1 AN ACT to amend the Public Utilities Act by adding
2 Section 8-306.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by adding
6 Section 8-306 as follows:
7 (220 ILCS 5/8-306 new)
8 Sec. 8-306. Billing frequency; gas utilities. A gas
9 public utility must deliver a bill to its residential and
10 nonresidential customers at least once each month for
11 services and commodities provided during the preceding month.
12 A customer is not liable for services or commodities for
13 which a bill is not delivered in accordance with this
14 Section.
15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16 becoming law.
