1 AN ACT to amend the Child Care Act of 1969 by changing
2 Section 4.4.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by
6 changing Section 4.4 as follows:
7 (225 ILCS 10/4.4) (from Ch. 23, par. 2214.4)
8 Sec. 4.4. Background investigations. For the purposes of
9 background investigations authorized in this Act, "license
10 applicant" means the operator or person with direct
11 responsibility for daily operation of the facility to be
12 licensed. In the case of facilities to be operated in a
13 family home, the Department may, by rule, require that other
14 adult residents of that home also authorize such
15 investigations.
