1 AN ACT to amend the Counties Code by changing Section
2 2-1007.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing
6 Section 2-1007 as follows:
7 (55 ILCS 5/2-1007) (from Ch. 34, par. 2-1007)
8 Sec. 2-1007. Administering oaths. The chairman of the
9 board may administer an oath to any person concerning any
10 matters submitted to the board, or connected with its powers
11 and duties, and any member of the board may administer the
12 oath required by law to any claimant presenting a claim
13 against the county to be passed by the board. A member so
14 administering an oath to a claimant may not charge a fee
15 doing so therefor.
