1 AN ACT to amend the Public Safety Employee Benefits Act
2 by adding Section 7.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Public Safety Employee Benefits Act is
6 amended by adding Section 7 as follows:
7 (820 ILCS 320/7 new)
8 Sec. 7. Definition. As used in this Act, "catastrophic
9 injury" means an injury that permanently prevents an
10 individual from performing any gainful work.
11 Section 99. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
