91_HB1385 LRB9103557ACtm 1 AN ACT to amend the Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, and 2 Nail Technology Act of 1985 by changing Section 4-8. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nail 6 Technology Act of 1985 is amended by changing Section 4-8 as 7 follows: 8 (225 ILCS 410/4-8) (from Ch. 111, par. 1704-8) 9 Sec. 4-8. Persons in need of mental treatment. The 10 determination by a circuit court that a licensee is subject 11 to involuntary admission or judicial admission as provided in 12 the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code 13 operates as an automatic suspension. TheSuchsuspension 14 shall end only upon a finding by a court that the patient is 15 no longer subject to involuntary admission or judicial 16 admission and issues an order so finding and discharging the 17 patient; and upon the recommendation of the Committee to the 18 Director that the licensee be allowed to resume his or her 19 practice. 20 (Source: P.A. 89-387, eff. 1-1-96.)
