1 AN ACT to amend the Firearm Owners Identification Card
2 Act by adding Section 3.2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Firearm Owners Identification Card Act is
6 amended by adding Section 3.2 as follows:
7 (430 ILCS 65/3.2 new)
8 Sec. 3.2. Attempting to purchase firearm without Firearm
9 Owner's Identification Card. A transferor of a firearm and
10 the Department of State Police shall report the name and
11 address of a person to the local law enforcement agency where
12 the person resides if the person attempts to purchase a
13 firearm without displaying to the transferor a valid Firearm
14 Owner's Identification Card that has been previously issued
15 in that person's name by the Department of State Police.
16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.
