1 AN ACT to amend the Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed
2 Property Act by changing Section 6.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property
6 Act is amended by changing Section 6 as follows:
7 (765 ILCS 1025/6) (from Ch. 141, par. 106)
8 Sec. 6. Presumption of abandonment. All intangible
9 personal property distributable in the course of a voluntary
10 dissolution of a business association, banking organization,
11 or financial organization that is unclaimed by the owner
12 within 2 years after the date for final distribution, is
13 presumed abandoned.
