91_HB3543 LRB9111742JMtm 1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Criminal Justice Information 2 Act by changing Section 4. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Act 6 is amended by changing Section 4 as follows: 7 (20 ILCS 3930/4) (from Ch. 38, par. 210-4) 8 Sec. 4. Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority 9 - Creation, membership and meetings. There is created an 10 Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority consisting of 11 1816members. The membership of the Authority shall consist 12 of the Illinois Attorney General, or his or her designee, the 13 Director of the Illinois Department of Corrections, the 14 Director of the Illinois Department of State Police, the 15 Sheriff of Cook County, the State's Attorney of Cook County, 16 the clerk of the circuit court of Cook County, the 17 Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department, the Director 18 of the Office of the State's Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor, 19 the Executive Director of the Law Enforcement Training and 20 Standards Board, and the following additional members, each 21 of whom shall be appointed by the Governor: a circuit court 22 clerk, a sheriff, and a state's attorney of a county other 23 than Cook, a chief of police, and 5 members of the general 24 public. 25 The Governor from time to time shall designate a Chairman 26 of the Authority from the membership. All members of the 27 Authority appointed by the Governor shall serve at the 28 pleasure of the Governor for a term not to exceed 4 years. 29 The initial appointed members of the Authority shall serve 30 from January, 1983 until the third Monday in January, 1987 or 31 until their successors are appointed. -2- LRB9111742JMtm 1 The Authority shall meet at least quarterly, and all 2 meetings of the Authority shall be called by the Chairman. 3 (Source: P.A. 91-483, eff. 1-1-00.)
