1 AN ACT to amend the Voluntary Health Services Plans Act
2 by changing Section 15.7.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Voluntary Health Services Plans Act is
6 amended by changing Section 15.7 as follows:
7 (215 ILCS 165/15.7) (from Ch. 32, par. 609.7)
8 Sec. 15.7. Rehabilitation treatment; denials. No claim
9 shall be denied, under a contract issued or renewed by a
10 voluntary health services plan after the effective day of
11 this amendatory Act, for treatment or services for
12 rehabilitation following either a physical or mental illness,
13 rendered in a hospital solely because such hospital lacks
14 surgical facilities.
