91_HB3639 LRB9112514JMmb 1 AN ACT in relation to State procurement. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by 5 changing Section 50-30 as follows: 6 (30 ILCS 500/50-30) 7 Sec. 50-30. Revolving door prohibition on or after 8 January 15, 1999. Chief procurement officers, associate 9 procurement officers, State purchasing officers, their 10 designees whose principal duties are directly related to 11 State procurement, and executive officers confirmed by the 12 Senate are expressly prohibited for a period of 2 years after 13 terminating an affected position from engaging in any 14 procurement activity relating to the State agency most 15 recently employing them in an affected position for a period 16 of at least 6 months. The prohibition includes but is not 17 limited to: lobbying the procurement process; specifying; 18 bidding; proposing bid, proposal, or contract documents; on 19 their own behalf or on behalf of any firm, partnership, 20 association, or corporation. This Section applies only to 21 persons who terminate an affected position on or after 22 January 15, 1999. 23 (Source: P.A. 90-572, eff. 2-6-98.)
