1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The amount of $1,000,000, or so much of that
5 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Board of
6 Higher Education to establish an agreement with the Chicago
7 Hostel, a facility of Hostelling International to be located
8 in a historically significant building at Congress and Wabash
9 in the City of Chicago, to permit State colleges and
10 universities to have affordable off-campus housing for
11 students who are conducting educational research or
12 conducting or attending educational activities or programs in
13 the City of Chicago.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
15 July 1, 2000.
