1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestones in the
4 lives of its citizens; and
5 WHEREAS, Alex Henseler of Salem recently received the "Do
6 The Right Thing" award from Julius Hunter, news anchor of
7 Channel 4 News in St. Louis; one day while Bob Henseler,
8 Alex's grandfather, was burning some items, he spilled
9 gasoline on himself and caught fire; it was Alex who
10 remembered to tell his grandfather to "stop, drop, and roll"
11 to put out the potentially dangerous fire; and
12 WHEREAS, Alex Henseler was joined in the ceremony by his
13 mother, Kim Henseler, his teacher, Elva Sarver, and the
14 elementary school counselor, Gayla Wilkerson; Alex is a
15 bright young man who deserves respect for his quick thinking;
16 therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we congratulate Alex Henseler on receiving the "Do The Right
20 Thing" award for his heroism; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Alex Henseler.
