1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 William V. Pesch of Chicago are celebrating the fiftieth
8 anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, William Vito Pesch and the former Delores May
10 Cavanaugh were united in holy matrimony on February 27, 1949
11 at St. John Birchman's in the rectory; and
12 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of William Richard
13 and the proud grandparents of Maria, William John, and Ryan
14 Anthony; and
15 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
16 highest plateaus when a couple such as Willy and Delores
17 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
18 WHEREAS, Willy and Delores Pesch stand as examples of the
19 best of our society, and their love and devotion to each
20 other and to their family and friends serve as a reminder to
21 all that hard work, dedication, and love can make a
22 difference in today's world; therefore be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate Willy and Delores Pesch on the occasion of
26 their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
27 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with a child and
28 grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish them
29 happiness and good health in the future; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
