91_HR0109 LRB9106062CBcb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, Jennifer Pinta, an esteemed resident of Rolling 3 Meadows, Illinois, and a student at Rolling Meadows High 4 School, has achieved national recognition for exemplary 5 volunteer service by receiving a 1999 Prudential Spirit of 6 Community Award; and 7 WHEREAS, This prestigious award, presented by the 8 Prudential Insurance Company of America in partnership with 9 the National Association of Secondary School Principals, 10 honors young volunteers across America who have demonstrated 11 an extraordinary commitment to serving their communities; and 12 WHEREAS, Ms. Pinta earned this award by giving generously 13 of her time and energy to coordinating "Serve Our Seniors 14 (S.O.S.)", a volunteer program that matches senior citizens 15 with high school students who assist with daily chores and 16 errands; and 17 WHEREAS, The success of the State of Illinois, the 18 strength of our communities, and the overall vitality of 19 American society depend, in great measure, upon the 20 dedication of young people like Ms. Pinta who use their 21 considerable talents and resources to serve others; 22 therefore, be it 23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 24 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 25 we hereby congratulate Ms. Pinta as a recipient of a 26 Prudential Spirit of Community Award; that we recognize her 27 outstanding record of volunteer service, peer leadership, and 28 community spirit; and that we extend best wishes for her 29 continued success and happiness; and be it further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 31 presented to her as an expression of our esteem.
