1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to express their sincere condolences to
4 the family and friends of Annie Mae Tobias, who recently
5 passed away; and
6 WHEREAS, Annie Mae Tobias was born in Liberty,
7 Mississippi on October 17, 1917; and
8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Tobias was the mother of 11 children and 56
9 grandchildren; she was active in her community and was a
10 member of the NAACP; Mrs. Tobias also served as a Head Start
11 Administrator for the South; and
12 WHEREAS, Our sincere condolences go to all that knew and
13 loved Annie Mae Tobias; therefore, be it
14 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
16 we mourn, along with her family and friends, the death of
17 Annie Mae Tobias of Liberty, Mississippi; may they find peace
18 in this time of loss; and be it further
19 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to the family of Annie Mae Tobias.
