1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Maxwell Penning, an esteemed resident of
3 Barrington, has achieved national recognition for exemplary
4 volunteer service by receiving a 1999 Prudential Spirit of
5 Community Award; and
6 WHEREAS, This prestigious award, presented by The
7 Prudential Insurance Company of America in partnership with
8 the National Association of Secondary School Principals,
9 honors young volunteers across America who have demonstrated
10 an extraordinary commitment to serving their communities; and
11 WHEREAS, Maxwell Penning earned this award by giving
12 generously of his time and energy; and
13 WHEREAS, The success of the State of Illinois, the
14 strength of our communities, and the overall vitality of
15 American society depend, in great measure, upon the
16 dedication of young people like Maxwell Penning who use their
17 considerable talents and resources to serve others;
18 therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we hereby congratulate and honor Maxwell Penning as a
22 recipient of a Prudential Spirit of Community Award,
23 recognize his outstanding record of volunteer service, peer
24 leadership and community spirit, and extend our best wishes
25 for his continued success and happiness; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to Maxwell Penning.
