91_HR0209 LRB9106520CBcb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the 3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage 4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for 5 the people of the State of Illinois; and 6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs. 7 Joseph Kalwasinski of Chicago, Illinois, will celebrate the 8 fiftieth anniversary of their marriage; and 9 WHEREAS, Joseph Kalwasinski and the former Domecella 10 (Dorothy) Laruton were united in holy matrimony on September 11 17, 1949 at All Saints Church in Chicago; and 12 WHEREAS, Joe was employed by the City of Chicago Fire 13 Department for 32 years and retired on July 13, 1985 with the 14 rank of Lieutenant; Dorothy was employed by the Chicago 15 Transit Authority for 25 years and retired in June of 1985; 16 and 17 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Stanley and Donna 18 and the proud grandparents of Jack and Matt; and 19 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its 20 highest plateaus when a couple such as Joe and Dorothy 21 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and 22 WHEREAS, Joe and Dorothy stand as examples of the best of 23 our society, and their love and devotion to each other and to 24 their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that hard 25 work, dedication, and love can make a difference in today's 26 world; therefore, be it 27 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 28 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 29 we congratulate Joe and Dorothy Kalwasinski on the occasion 30 of their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them -2- LRB9106520CBcb 1 for achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with 2 children and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that 3 we wish them happiness and good health in the future; and be 4 it further 5 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 6 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem.
