1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, H.R. 7 was introduced into the U.S. House of
3 Representatives on March 1, 1999; H.R. 7 amends the Internal
4 Revenue Code of 1986 to allow tax-free expenditures from
5 education individual retirement accounts for elementary and
6 secondary school expenses, to increase the maximum annual
7 amount of contributions to such accounts, and for other
8 purposes; therefore, be it
9 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
11 we urge the U.S. Congress to pass H. R. 7; and be it further
12 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
13 delivered to each member of the Illinois congressional
14 delegation.
