1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Mrs. Ruth Hill on
4 receiving a 1999 Governor's Unique Achievement Award; Ms.
5 Hill was nominated for the award by the Southwestern Illinois
6 Area Agency on Aging; and
7 WHEREAS, Ruth Hill was nominated based on her community
8 involvement in such organizations as the Board of Trustees of
9 the O'Fallon Library, the Belleville News Democrat Citizens
10 Advisory Board, and the O'Fallon Woman's Club, and as a Board
11 member of the local chapter of the American Association of
12 University Women; and
13 WHEREAS, In addition to her busy schedule, she also
14 served on the Southwestern Illinois Area Agency on Aging's
15 Board of Directors from 1992 to 1999; she recently attended
16 the Third Session of the National Silver Haired Congress as a
17 representative of Congressman Jerry Costello; and
18 WHEREAS, Ms. Hill was also nominated based on her knowing
19 what she wants to accomplish in life and what direction she
20 wants her life to take; she truly deserves this award;
21 therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24 we congratulate Mrs. Ruth Hill on being a recipient of the
25 1999 Governor's Unique Achievement Award; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to Mrs. Ruth Hill, along with our sincere regards.
