1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Leonard A. Unes has served as a member of the
3 Peoria City Council since 1979, completing 20 years of
4 continuous service; and
5 WHEREAS, Leonard Unes has distinguished himself by his
6 tireless efforts to uphold the highest principles in his
7 service as Mayor Pro Tem, Deputy Local Liquor Commissioner, a
8 member of the Ad Hoc Committee of the Peoria City Council,
9 the Peoria Civic Center Authority, Downtown Development
10 Commission, Solid Waste Disposal Committee, Public Safety and
11 Social Responsibility Committee, Tourism Reserve Fund
12 committee, Advisory Committee for the Disabled, Task Force on
13 Gangs and Violence, Legislative Committee, Community Action
14 Agency, and the City Hall 100th Anniversary Committee; and
15 WHEREAS, Leonard Unes has exemplified service and
16 statesmanship; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we commend Leonard Unes for his 20 years of service and
20 extend best wishes for continued success in the future; and
21 be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to Leonard Unes.
