1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Those individuals who minister to the spiritual
3 needs of others are worthy of the highest respect and
4 admiration; and
5 WHEREAS, Sister Carol Ghionzoli has dedicated the past
6 eleven years of her life to the parishioners and staff of
7 Holy Ghost Parish in South Holland; she has contributed
8 greatly to the spiritual and educational life of the parish
9 community; and
10 WHEREAS, Sister Carol Ghionzoli was one of five children
11 born to Alice Kenny Ghionzoli and William Guido Ghionzoli;
12 she entered the convent in 1984 at Maria Immaculata Convent
13 in Wilmette; she took her final vows and became a Sister of
14 Christian Charity on August 15, 1993; and
15 WHEREAS, She attended DeLourdes College in Des Plaines,
16 Illinois, and received her master's degree from Governors
17 State in University Park; and
18 WHEREAS, Her responsibilities while at Holy Ghost Parish
19 were to be the Director of Religious Education, a position
20 she held until June of 1993; she served as the art teacher
21 from 1989 until 1992; she was appointed principal of Holy
22 Ghost School in June of 1993; and
23 WHEREAS, Sister Carol will leave Holy Ghost Parish at the
24 end of June and will assume the responsibilities of principal
25 for St. Mary's School in Westphalia, Michigan; and
26 WHEREAS, Sister Carol Ghionzoli's life and service are a
27 shining example of the love of God to all the people of this
28 State; therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
30 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1 we join the members of Holy Ghost Parish in wishing Sister
2 Carol Ghionzoli good luck as she leaves South Holland, that
3 we commend her for her long and faithful dedication to God's
4 work, and that we express great pleasure that she will be
5 able to continue her loving service and concern for many
6 years to come; and be it further
7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8 presented to Sister Carol Ghionzoli as an expression of our
9 respect and esteem.
