1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the members of
3 this Body welcome the opportunity to recognize citizens of
4 this State who make outstanding contributions to society; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Marcia Brody
6 has announced her retirement as a teacher with Woodland
7 School District 50 after thirty years of dedicated service as
8 a teacher, twenty-seven of which were spent in Woodland; and
9 WHEREAS, Marcia Brody received her Bachelor's of Arts
10 from the University of California Los Angeles and her
11 Master's Degree in Special Education from Northeastern
12 University; and
13 WHEREAS, Her wise counsel and advice was a great
14 influence on her students, and she soon earned the respect
15 and affection of students, teachers, principals, and staff;
16 and
17 WHEREAS, Marcia Brody has contributed in many ways to
18 Woodland School District 50 and its students; therefore be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate Marcia Brody for thirty years of outstanding
22 service in teaching, that we commend her for her dedication
23 to her profession and to her students, and that we extend to
24 her our sincere best wishes for the future; and be it
25 further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to her as an expression of our respect and esteem.
