91_HR0442 LRB9109107KBkb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the 3 Boy Scouts of America can bestow upon a Scout is that of 4 Eagle Scout; and 5 WHEREAS, Mark William Ingram of Boy Scout Troop 5, in 6 Decatur, will receive the Eagle Scout Award at a Court of 7 Honor to be held on November 14, 1999, at the Westminster 8 Presbyterian Church in Decatur; and 9 WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young 10 man must demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a 11 willingness to be of help to others, and superior skills in 12 camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and 13 WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Mark William Ingram 14 joins an elite and honorable fraternity of achievers that 15 counts among its members an extraordinary number of this 16 nation's great leaders in business, government, education, 17 and other sectors of society; and 18 WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout 19 reflects favorably upon the recipient, his justly proud 20 family, his Scoutmaster, and his fellow scouts; therefore, be 21 it 22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 23 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 24 we join his family and friends in congratulating Mark William 25 Ingram upon attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and 26 commend him upon the unswerving dedication to excellence that 27 is the hallmark of the Eagle Scout; and be it further 28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 29 presented to Eagle Scout Mark William Ingram as an expression 30 of our respect and esteem.
