1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are honored to
3 recognize significant milestones in the lives of the people
4 of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Sam Voelker of
6 Altamont is celebrating the 100th anniversary of his birth;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, Sam Voelker was born November 23, 1899; he has
9 been a farmer and a carpenter all of his life; and
10 WHEREAS, Sam Voelker is the loving husband of Hilma
11 Voelker; and
12 WHEREAS, Sam Voelker is the proud father of one son; he
13 is the grandparent of three grandchildren, seven
14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild;
15 therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18 we congratulate Sam Voelker on the occasion of his 100th
19 birthday and extend to him our sincere best wishes for the
20 future; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Sam Voelker as an expression of our respect and
23 esteem.
