91_HR0595 LRB9113258CBcb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the 3 Boy Scouts of America can bestow upon a Scout is that of 4 Eagle Scout; and 5 WHEREAS, Brian A. Elder of Boy Scout Troop 91 in Troy 6 received the Eagle Scout Award on December 9, 1999; and 7 WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young 8 man must demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a 9 willingness to be of help to others, and superior skills in 10 camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and 11 WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Brian A. Elder joins 12 an elite and honorable fraternity of achievers that counts 13 among its members an extraordinary number of this nation's 14 great leaders in business, government, education, and other 15 sectors of society; and 16 WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout 17 reflects favorably upon the recipient, his justly proud 18 family, his Scoutmaster, and his fellow scouts; therefore, be 19 it 20 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 21 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 22 we join his family and friends in congratulating Brian A. 23 Elder upon attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and 24 commend him upon the unswerving dedication to excellence that 25 is the hallmark of the Eagle Scout; and be it further 26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 27 presented to Eagle Scout Brian A. Elder as an expression of 28 our respect and esteem.
